Any and all advertisements you might see on this website are 100% uncompensated recommendations. I like Sinupret because it looks clean, is well-tested and I think it works. I recommend Erbaorganics because they're very clear about the percentage of organic ingredients in each of their products. At one time, I received some free samples from these two companies. I no longer do. If you buy my DVD, I think I get about fifty cents. Unless you choose to buy thousands and thousands of my books, I'll never see one penny in royalties. Jay

Adding Fat to Baby's Diet
Q. My baby is doing great. I took her to her 9 month appointment and, just as with my son, the doctor is worried about her weight. She is 15 pounds, 6 ounces and 27 3/8 inches long. Her doctor wants me to put mayonnaise in her baby food to fatten her up or feed her avocados. Should I follow this advice?

A. This is not the worst advice I have ever heard, but it's pretty bad. Mayonnaise makes you fat, unfavorably alters your lipid profile and is a terrible habit. Avocados are pretty a healthy food but there is no need to put extra weight on a healthy baby. Please ask the doctor to begin ignoring the numbers and look at the beautiful baby.
